It has been a crazy week. Lots of stock moving out but we also managed to add a couple of new items including a new white leather sofa from LeatherCraft to our showroom floor. Clean lines and very sophisticated looking.

On Sunday September 28 at 2 pm, Greg Davies will give a talk on “’A World of Wonders Combined: Thomas Barnett and The Niagara Falls Museum.”

Greg Davies is Assistant Professor, History of Art, School of the Arts, McMaster University. He holds a BA from York University and an MA from the University of Toronto. Professor Davies’ areas of specialized interest are Italian Baroque and Renaissance art.

Admission is $15.00 for the general public and $10.00 for RiverBrink members. Following the talks, refreshments will be served. Seating is limited, advance registration is advised.

Ghost Tours of Niagara - Experience Fort George After Dark

In addition to one of the prettiest towns in Canada, Niagara-on-the-Lake is commonly referred to as the most haunted. The most prevalent tales of paranormal activity surround Fort George National Historic Site. There have been hundreds of reports of paranormal sightings at Fort George, ranging from the benevolent spirit of a little girl named Sarah Ann to a more ominous presence simply known as "The Watcher".

Experience Fort George after dark! Join us for a candlelit tour, where you will hear a score of ghostly accounts while being introduced to the fascinating history of haunted Fort George and Niagara-on-the-Lake. This is not the kind of ghost tour where actors portray the ghosts or people jump out and try to scare you. We tell the real stories of people's real experiences with real spirits. You may even walk away with an experience of your own!

The tours typically run for 1.5 to 2 hours. As a walking tour through a dimly lit old fort, we do cover some rough terrain. Please dress according to the weather, wear comfortable shoes and be prepared. Bug spray is a good idea during the summer months.

Tickets are available from the guide at the time of the tour. The tour gathers in the parking lot of Fort George, 51 Queen's Parade, just off the Niagara Parkway, Niagara-on-the-Lake. Just look for black capes and lanterns!
